Infostretch Home Page Redesign

Creative Direction, Visual Design, ux design

Recognizing the challenges faced by our customers, I proactively instigated the overhaul of our company's home page. The existing design was characterized by excessive length and complexity, making it cumbersome for users to navigate and locate valuable resources. Additionally, there was a lack of clarity regarding the services offered by Infostretch.

Goals:

• reduce bounce rate
• increase time spent on page
• reduce complexity and confusion
• increase number of pages visited
• make it easy to find the most recent assets created.
• Make the banners modern and engaging.

I employed a data-driven approach to identify and address pain points affecting our users. Drawing from insights gathered through internal focus groups, analyst feedback, and user research, I meticulously compiled data on user challenges. I then crafted innovative solutions to resolve these issues and rigorously tested a prototype to uncover and rectify subtle usability challenges, such as unresponsive click areas.

In my capacity as a design leader, I initiated the process with the creation of wireframes showcasing different layout options. These wireframes served as a visual aid to engage shareholders and gain their buy-in for the transformative changes to the home page. My objective was to provide various placement alternatives, facilitating a comprehensive view of how these changes could enhance the user journey.

Among the proposed alterations, I advocated for the introduction of a new section titled "Featured Insights," strategically positioning it near the page fold. This decision aimed to expedite user access to recently added assets, including vital case studies. Simultaneously, I underscored the importance of prominently featuring a concise company statement near the top of the page, a priority that garnered strong support from shareholders.

The previous homepage utilized clickable strips that expanded horizontally, an approach that felt cumbersome and occupied excessive horizontal space, particularly when accessed via mobile devices. In the revamped design, we introduced captivating video backgrounds, each slide offering a distinct feature, providing a visually engaging and space-efficient solution.

To convey the intricacies of the video banner animations to my developer, I harnessed the power of After Effects. I meticulously crafted a dynamic animation, and alongside this visual demonstration, I provided comprehensive written instructions. This combination of visual and textual guidance ensured clarity and precision in translating my design vision into reality.

Go, Be, Evolve Digital is the core messaging for Infostretch. I simplified and condensed the look while making it stand out.

The previous design allocated a substantial portion of space to list all the services offered. In a strategic move, I chose to streamline the user experience by introducing a prominent Call to Action (CTA) button. This button efficiently directed users to the dedicated services page, optimizing the home page for a cleaner, more scan-friendly interface.

During my user testing, I found that users wanted to click on the entire image and box area of the footer. I changed the clickable area from the title to the entire box to make this easier for users to interact with.
